The office of Town Clerk is the keeper of all vital records, various documents, minutes of all committees and boards. These records are kept accurately and efficiently such that the best interests of the citizens and the town of Milton are served.
The office of Town Clerk is responsible for the issuance of the following licenses and permits:
- Dog licenses
- Hunting and fishing licenses
- Marriage licenses
- Parking Permits for Persons with Disabilities
We can also assist you with:
- Park pavilion rentals in the Burgess-Kimball Memorial Park.
Dog Licenses
Dog owners are reminded to send in all three parts of the renewal form to validate your license. For new dog licenses, a rabies certificate and a spay or neuter certificate, if applicable, is required. For a renewal, a rabies certificate, if required, must be presented. Fees for un-neutered or un-spayed dogs are $20.50; for spayed or neutered dogs, $13.50. To renew a dog licenses by mail, please enclose all the necessary paperwork and send it to the Town Clerk's Office, 503 Geyser Road, Ballston Spa, NY 12020. Also, please notify us if you have a change of address or no longer own the dog.Marriage Licenses
Marriage licenses can be obtained at our office for a cost of $40. Both parties must be present and, if either party has been divorced, any and all divorce papers must be submitted.Parking Permits
If you find yourself in need of a temporary or permanent Parking Permit for Persons with Disabilities, you can obtain an application below. Have part 2 of the application completed by your physician and bring it and your drivers license (or non-driver ID) to our office for processing.
