Request for Engineering Proposals
The Town of Milton is seeking proposals for engineering services. The Town would like proposals to indicate the engineer or firm applying to provide services, municipal experience, municipalities served, and references of prior municipal service. In addition, the Town of Milton would like the proposer to indicate the engineer or engineers that would have primary responsibility for providing services to the Town and their qualifications. The proposal should also include the rate or rates for all service providers inclusive of any incidentals that would be typically charged.
Professional engineering assistance will be required in the following areas: Assistance to the Town’s Planning and Zoning Boards with technical reviews of subdivisions, site plans, special use permits, variances, inclusive of stormwater compliance, SEQRA compliance, drainage analysis, wetlands analysis, resource inventories, coordination with such other agencies as the NYSDEC, ACOE, FAA and others to ensure all aspects of proposals and projects receive proper technical review. Assistance to the Town and its departments will be required on land issues, acquisitions, surveys, easements and right of ways. Appearances to assist the Town’s Boards will be required for planning, zoning and special projects. The engineer or firm should have the ability to cover all necessary disciplines; civil, structural, water, wastewater, mechanical, electrical, planning, construction inspection, construction management, grants and administration, as well as drafting and providing requests for proposals, bidding requirements and bid review.
If you are interested in providing services, please provide the requested information to the Milton Town Board for review on or before August 8, 2014. If you need additional information to provide a proposal, please contact Supervisor’s Office at 518-884-2766. After review of all proposals, the Town of Milton may conduct interviews or request additional information.
